Gabriella is a reader and writer who has lived all her life in the American South (Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Tennessee). Gabriella’s original play Shrinking Violet will be featured at the Tennessee Stage Company’s New Play Festival in Knoxville in January 2025. Every year, Gabriella enters the Nashville Tomato Art Fest Haiku Contest, but she didn’t start winning until they added the “oddities” category for poems of any style under 200 words (she’s always been a bit long-winded, which doesn’t serve well for haikus); she placed first in 2024 for Oh Brother, Tomato and third in 2025 for Old Mr. Matterson. Gabriella enjoys acting in community theatre plays and making bookish content for TikTok. Her favorite book is The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale.
